Manufacturing HR Generalist

Job Overview

Provide HR Generalist support to the Manufacturing group at Asahi Kasei Plastics (APNA) in alignment with the services of the Human Resources Department.   A large focus of this role will be to support the HR needs of the Manufacturing group.  The person in this role will be expected to assist with managing employee relations issues, provide guidance and support to Production leadership, engage with Production team members individually and in team meetings, and provide general HR support services.

Job Tasks

  • Lead Manufacturing HR Generalist services:
    • Monitors the effectiveness of the team interactions and behaviors within the Plant.  Address employee relations issues, such as harassment allegations, work complaints, or other employee concerns
    • Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, providing guidance, and helping resolve work-related problems
  • Communicate Production team progress updates to leadership and HR
  • Participate in Production team meetings and provide HR updates
  • Assist with Production recruitment and onboarding process
    • Confer with management to develop or implement personnel policies or procedures
  • Travel as needs to other Asahi Kasei locations to build rapport with other HR members
  • Facilitate continuous improvements in HR work processes while focusing on client satisfaction
  • Provide HR services to other groups within the Asahi Kasei company as necessary

 

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Licensures, and Certifications)

  • Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in related field plus 3 years related work experience preferred
