Job Purpose Summary

Work cross functionally with procurement, technology and quality to develop suppliers in accordance with our strategic objectives and key performance indicators. Develop suppliers with industry standard methodologies in line with IATF 16949 requirements.

Responsible for coordinating suppliers and verifying quality standards in accordance with the requirements of their organization. In charge of performing regular supplier audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, as well as actively participating in strategic development based on quality control plans. Manage the supply chain, serve as the liaison for suppliers, suggest structural quality and process improvements, and collaborate with other engineers in a team environment.

Key Job Duties

  • Manage suppliers: scorecards, risk assessment, data analysis
  • Manage supplier development: supplier corrective action reports and audits
  • Have a strong understanding of SAP
  • Familiar with IATF
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with cross functional teams including quality, lab, and procurement
  • Track and qualify or disqualify suppliers according to organization's standards.
  • Maintain successful relationships with supply, engineering, manufacturing, and regulatory departments.
  • Report supplier performance and quality to management.

  • Develop raw material specifications that reduce process variation
  • Use Plan-Do-Check-Act to continuously improve
  • Improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the procurement process

 Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in engineering (material science, chemical, industrial, applied engineering, or mechanical)
  • SAP experience preferred but not required
  • 6 sigma or lean manufacturing certification preferred but not required
