Job Purpose Summary:      

This position is responsible for the Product Stewardship activities of Thermylene and Thermylon products and also co-ordinates activities in Engineering Plastics materials with Japan Stewardship team.  In addition, this position provides consultation support in areas such as environmental, toxicology, safety and industrial hygiene     

  

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Company is in compliance with government regulations through the management of the Regulatory Affairs/ Product Stewardship functions.  Specifics include, but no limited to, SDS program management, TSCA management, FDA compliance management and programs/standards/guidelines implementation.
  • Contribute to maintaining customer loyalty by providing timely responses to customers' requests concerning product regulatory information and product safety issues.  Specifics include, but are not limited to, responding to environmental requests, submission to regulatory agencies, providing advice and information to customers.
  • Ensure the Company is up to date and current on government regulations through regulatory oversight, trade publications review, training, bulletins, review of published Company literature, etc.
  • Maintain regulatory expertise through trade association participation, interaction with other regulatory personnel, attending training programs, reviewing government regulations and working with counterparts.
  • Develop and present training programs in Regulatory Affairs and Product Stewardship.
  • Act as the primary interface to NSF, UL, KTW, WRAS, ACS etc. Be the facilitator for audits from these organizations.
  • Be the focal point for IMDS requests, REACH Compliance, conflict minerals, ROHS, BIFMA and similar organizations.
  • Participate in Corporate Responsible care Audits.

 Qualifications (Education, Experience, Licensures and Certifications):

  • Bachelor degree in chemistry or chemical engineering with 5-10 years of professional experience in product regulatory and product safety issues.

 

Working Conditions:

Mostly in the office.  Some travel (10%)
