Job Purpose Summary:

Reporting to the Plant Manager, Operations, the person will be responsible for coordinating projects, programs and initiatives that are aligned with the corporate strategy. The person in this role will be expected to manage/coordinate various projects, observe and provide feedback on employee behaviors, and in general ensure the productivity of individuals working on company goals. This person will be able to provide knowledge and information on topics including Subject Matter Expert teams, manage employee relations issues, and inform Plant Manager with feedback on team progress. A large focus of this role will be to work with the Production teams and help the teams work and interact together more effectively. In addition, serve as a link between management and employees by assisting with HR-related items.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plant Subject Matter Expert resource for Element Team, People Team policies, procedures and guidelines. Communicate Production team progress updates to Plant Manager and assist in organizational effectiveness of the Production teams.
  2. Monitors the effectiveness of the team interactions and behaviors within the Plant. Address employee relations issues, such as harassment allegations, work complaints, or other employee concerns
  3. Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, providing guidance, and helping resolve work-related problems
  4. Maintain and update HR documents, such as organizational charts, employee handbooks or directories, and/or performance evaluation forms
  5. Performance Management system lead for the Athens site.       Some responsibilities include, but are not limited to scheduling performance management meetings, updating appraisees and appraisals, assigning competencies, etc.
  6. Responsible for approving and reviewing Production Technician timecards, and following up with Payroll as needed
  7. Act as backup for Receptionist role as needed
  8. Assist with the onboarding recruiting needs such as creating New Hire Folders, filing, tracking documents, reviewing background check and drug screen clearances, etc.
  9. Confer with management to develop or implement personnel policies or procedures
  10. Tracking and monitoring bonus goals, including crew goal and individual goal progress for Production Technicians
  11. Interacting with Corporate HR team to provide and implement local HR support

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Licensures and Certifications):

Qualifications Minimum: Associates Degree with 2+ years appropriate experience

Preferred: Past experience or development in HR-related field. Proficient in Microsoft office, high level of attention to detail and organization skills, experience with dealing with empowered teams, and facilitating project teams.


Working Conditions: This position requires the individual to work in a mostly seated position Monday to Friday during normal business office hours. Occasional light lifting and moving boxes such as files, mail, etc., is required.
