Position Overview:

As a Logistics Coordinator you will be part of the Sales and  Supply Management group where you will receive and respond to customer inquiries and sales-related communications. In this role, you will act as liaison between customers, AKBA account managers, warehouse staff, freight forwarders and the parent company in Japan  regarding customer inquiries and inventory logistics. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of sales transactions from order entry to invoicing.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support Supply Chain Manager to manage adequate inventory by closely monitoring the balance between pending customer orders and incoming products. Coordinate the overall purchasing process from preparing purchase orders to receiving the products in our warehouse.
  • Provide customer service by quickly responding to customer inquiries, processing sales quotes and purchase orders, releasing product for shipment and customer billing/invoicing.
  • Coordinate overall customer sales order handling steps from receiving purchase orders to invoicing.
  • Support generating periodical sales and inventory reports for internal information sharing.
  • Provide accurate record keeping in hard copy and/or digital formats, following internal recording guidelines.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • BA/BS required.
  • Ability to speak, read and write Japanese is required.
  • Minimum 2 years in a customer service or logistics role required.
  • Must be highly detail oriented.
  • Proficiency using ERP system and Microsoft Office suite with high Excel skills required.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and logic explaining skills.
