Asahi Kasei Bioprocess America, is a global supplier of equipment and consumables to the biopharmaceutical industry. We design and manufacture customized fluid management systems used in purifying drug products for a global customer base of biotech and pharmaceutical manufacturers. 

Currently we are looking to recruit and hire an entry level Laboratory Technician, based in our Glenview, IL headquarters office, to support day-to-day operations of the process laboratory, including preparing and maintaining reagents and equipment, ordering and organizing supplies, and supporting research and development activities as needed. In this role you will also be responsible for assisting our manufacturing operations with products to be used by GMP manufacturing facilities. Organization and attention to detail is a key driver of success along with a positive attitude and the ability to function within a team.

Specific Responsibilities include:

  • Leading laboratory support activities, including preparing and maintaining reagents, ordering supplies, maintaining equipment, and organizing lab spaces.
  • Developing processes and procedures to ensure efficient usage of laboratory resources.
  • Perform manufacturing activities for products in accordance with internal SOPs and cGMP guidelines.
  • Assisting in the execution and documentation of laboratory experiments and analytical assays under the supervision of scientists to develop and study bioprocess filtration and chromatography operations, as needed.
  • Understand and follow all SOPs and business practices to ensure that performance and documentation of all activities meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Education and Experience Preferred:

  • Bachelor's in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Chemical or Biomedical Engineering or similar scientific discipline.
  • Willingness and ability to work in a Biosafety Level 2
  • Experience in a laboratory setting is strongly desired.
  • Experience in a GMP or GLP environment is a plus.
